This year the Rotary Club of Lynnwood’s annual Hi!5 Run is really taking off — and we don’t mean just for a 5k or 10k trek. The run is taking a new direction. The course starts and ends on Sunday morning at Alderwood mall, but the entire event will start the day before with a Fitness Expo at the mall.

Marketing plans for the Hi!5 event provide more opportunities this year for our sponsors. The Lynnwood Rotary Club will spend every weekend at Alderwood in May encouraging runners that haven’t already registered by more traditional methods to sign up, and to bring the whole family so that the kids can participate in our Kid’s Dash!

Runners at this year’s event are in for a special treat, as the run committee is working on a most memorable finish line for participants. There will be great prizes as well at the awards ceremony following the run, and Oxy Gene will be on hand to lead those 10 and younger in this year’s Kid’s Dash where every child is a medal winner.
