GET MOVIN’ FOR A LIFETIME OF GOOD HEALTH!
The 5th Annual Get Movin’ program will kick-off on Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Lynnwood at the Fitness Expo, providing a full day of fitness demonstrations.
Get Movin’ is an all ages FREE summer program aimed at motivating Snohomish County families to get movin’ and improve their health by adopting a more active, healthy lifestyle through physical and recreational activities.
The Get Movin’ program has three easy steps:
STEP 1: Get Movin’ – Be physically 30 minutes a day at least five days a week, all summer long.
STEP 2: Keep Track – stay on track using the program calendar.
STEP 3: Reward Yourself – use a reward coupon each week you are active for 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week.
Register for Get Movin’ at one of the three kick-off events. Each event is FREE with lots of fun activities, special mascot guests, exhibitors, giveaways and prizes, while quantities last.
Kick-Off Events - Saturday, June 7, 2008
10 am - 2 pm Alderwood – part of the Hi! 5 Fitness Expo
10 am - 1 pm Everett Mall
2 pm - 4 pm Marysville-Pilchuck High School – part of the Relay for Life North Snohomish Event
Participant will receive a Get Movin’ PLAYbook at registration, which will include program details, a tracking calendar, reward coupons and a t-shirt; while quantities lasts.

The North County kick-off is partnering with the Relay for Life North Snohomish Event. Relay For Life is an event to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise money for the fight against cancer. Visit www.relayforlife.org to find your local event.
The South County kick-off is partnering with the Rotary Hi! 5 Fitness Expo. The Fitness Expo will run from 10 am-5 pm on Saturday, June 7th followed by the Hi! 5 walk, run and FREE Kids Dash on Sunday, June 8th at Alderwood mall Terraces.
